Kona Big Game Sportfishing Charter - Shogun

A slow day of fishing beats any day at the office!

Seeing a marlin do a tail dance as it skips across the water trying to shed the hook can be one of life's most exhilarating moments, especially if you have the rod in your hands and you are in the fighting chair.

The Kona Coast is well known for its fantastic climate, generally calm waters, and World Class Big Game Fishing. Kona waters produce record Blue, Black and Stripped Marlin as well as a variety of other game fish.

For billfish caught and healthy at leader, they practice catch/tag and release. For fish that are severely injured, or die during the fight, they will boat and take to the weigh station. After the photos are taken, however, the catch goes to market with the sale proceeds going to the boat. For other species under 50 pounds, Mahimahi, Ahi or Ono, you may keep the fish or share it with the crew, your choice.

* certified divers only -dive gear and tanks are extra $40 for a 1 tank - $50 for a 2 tank -approx.) No more than 4 divers on one tour.

Directions to the Shogun:

Honokohau Small Boat Harbor is 10 minutes south of the Airport and 5 minutes north of Kailua Kona. Coming from the airport, turn right on Kealakehe Parkway. There is a stop light on that corner. Coming from Kailua-Kona, turn left onto Kealakehe Parkway. Continue on Kealakehe Parkway past the turn to the Harbor House restaurant and Harbormaster. When you see a concrete block public restroom with a orange pointed roof, pull in to a parking space. SHOGUN is located on the middle pier, bow facing the restroom. The ramp is located just to the east of the payphone. The slip number is I-21.

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation becomes necessary, and notice is received up to 14 days prior to the date of the charter, no charge will be made to your credit card account. If the Notice of Cancellation is received 3 to 13 days prior to the charter date, a $100 non-refundable
deposit will retained, or at the sole discretion of the Captain, may be waived and refunded upon filling the date with another charter. If you do not notify us of cancellation at least 48 hours in ad vance of the charter, or do not show for the charter, the full amount of the charter will be charged to your credit card.
