POLICY: 90% refund for all changes or cancellations up
to 48 hours in advance of tour time and date. Tour reservation
is NON-REFUNDABLE at 48 hours prior to tour time and date. For
parties of six or more the reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE at 72
hours prior to tour time and date.
As
we pass through this spectacular and interesting valley
by kayak and on foot, your guide will be sharing
the mana'o (knowledge) of the island: we'll be filling you
in on the history of ancient Kauai and the
how the Ali'i (royalty) and Maka'ainana (common people)
lived and played here in days gone by. We'll learn
about the unique and unusual medicinal and food plants that inhabit Kauai's Wailua River Valley, as well as identifying
many beautiful ornamental plants, both native and introduced. The return part of this kayak tour is downstream, but in to the tradewinds, so we'll be getting a bit of a workout on this leg of the journey - unlike our Hidden Falls Kayak Tour in which our Captain picks us up in our motorized canoe for the the downstream "in to the wind" leg. If
you're looking for a bit of a workout, this tour will be
the one for you! Swimming holes, native and
exotic botanical wonders; the Wailua is truly a fantasy
land of Hawaiian deep jungle scenery. Check

A
spectacular hiking experience on the pristine, private Princeville
Ranch!
Ascend
“Green Hill” and wit-ness breathtaking mountain and
ocean views. Hike the lowland rainforest, Kalihiwai Valley, to
the spectacular five-tiered Kalihiwai Falls, and have
it all to yourselves! Continue up-valley along the
stream to a second, idyllic waterfall swimming hole surrounded
by fern-lined walls for a delicious lunch and jumping or floating
on inner tubes. Hiking time is three hours and hiking
distance is approximately four miles. Rated moderately strenuous.
Includes rough hewn stairs, many stream crossings and a ten-foot
rock wall descent. By horse with the Stables or on foot with us,
it’s the only way to swim at Kalihiwai Falls!

Kayaking
is beginner-level, and total kayaking time is
approximately one hour, round trip. 
ZIPPING
REQUIREMENTS: (Ziplining is optional) - No expectant
mothers Not afraid of heights - No recent injuries or surgeries
- MUST weigh between 80 and 280 pounds 
Ages:
5 & up in good physical condition
This
tour is operated in the Wailua Forest Management Area, under a
permit issued by the Na Ala Hele Trail Access Program of the Department
of Land and Natural Resources. A portion of the price of the tour
is paid to Na Ala Hele for the maintenance and improvement of
trails on Kauai. Advance, paid reservations are required. Reservations
are non refundable except in the case of weather cancellation.
Group sizes are a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12.
The
classic Kauai kayak tour- Wailua River kayaking. This is a
gorgeous,calm water jungle stream, and we will paddle deep
into the heart of the island all the way to the shadow of
Mt Wai'ale'ale. After our easy downwind paddle
upstream, we'll tie our kayaks to a tree and take a somewhat
rugged and very beautiful one-mile hike up valley to a dramatic
130' waterfall with a pool at the bottom. We'll sit on some
big basalt boulders at the bottom of the pool and have a delicious
picnic lunch, and then hike back down to our
ruddered tandem open cockpit kayaks for some more fun paddling! 
All
this will take place as we get to know each other and have
some laughs in this incredible setting. 
(smoked
turkey, watercress cream cheese, sprouts, cucumber, tomato,
onion, and black olives in a tortilla), or a Mediterranean
Veggie Wrap (humus, lettuce, tomato, kalamata olives, cucumber,
and feta cheese in a tortilla). Lunch comes with pasta salad
and a chocolate chip cookie. Cold drinks are available thoughout
the day.
