The NA PALI KAI III is powered by twin 260 hp Cummins diesels with sea fury surface drives. It is an incredibly fast and comfortable 49’ powered catamaran. For unobstructed views, all seating is forward facing with padded seats for comfort. Shaded area, fresh water shower and a spacious restroom, are only a sample of the vessel amenities.

6 hour exploration of Kauai's rugged Na Pali Coast. You will view the Na Pali up close entering into spectacular sea caves, land on a remote beach for a guided tour of a historic Hawaiian village where you will hear the history and legends of the ancient civilizations that once inhabited these verdant valleys. Wear your swimsuits and bring a towel and sunscreen. Snorkel gear and instruction provided. During winter months we are limited to one raft expedition per day due to available light. In summer months we are able to run more trips. The Napali Coast snorkeling and the beach landing are conditions permitting. Tour destination will be determined based on passenger comfort and safety.

Our 24' rigid hull inflatable rafts combine an inflatable tube with a rigid aluminum hull to produce a virtually unsinkable boat. Stable and very buoyant, the motorized rigid hull rafts maneuver expertly in any type of water, allowing us to explore caves and land on secluded beaches along the Na Pali Coast. Your Captain Zodiac captain skillfully operates the craft while you enjoy the thrilling ride.

The 3 hr. tour is a specialized rafting and guided snorkel tour that leaves from Kukuiula Harbor in Poipu. Includes all snorkel equipment and wetsuits. Local marine biologists guide you to unspoiled snorkel sites on a 24 foot Zodiac "Hurricane" ( the same boat used by Navy Seals because of it's speed and mobility.) It has a Coast Guard approved capacity of 20 passengers.

This tour will take you to remote beaches accessible only by boat. You will swim with wonderful sea turtles and tropical fish. The onboard sonar equipment allows you to hear "whale songs" while you observe them in on their yearly migratory journey through Hawaiian waters.

Gourmet sandwiches are served on all tours (turkey, ham, roast beef or veggie) along with local fruit, Kauai cookies, fruit juices bottled water and sodas. You may also receive a high quality underwater photo of a marine encounter. Please bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and towels.

SeaFun Kauai - Aloha Kauai

SeaFun Kauai is a half day, guided, shore based, snorkel tour. Snorkel with the experts!

The best snorkeling on Kauai is inside protective reefs. SeaFun is for all ages and levels of experience.

Tours include: Transportation from most hotels. Use of top quality equipment including wetsuits and optical masks. Thorough instruction and tour with expert guides. Discussion of relevant marine biology. Lunch and beverages.

South shore tour description:

Guests staying in Lihue or north of Lihue, meet us at Kilohana Plantation at 7:45 in the morning. Guests staying in the Poipu area are picked up between 8:15 and 8:30. We arrive at our snorkel destination shortly thereafter. Getting there is half the fun. Getting to know your guide and learn about the island on the way there and back is an important part of the tour.

Our first snorkel spot is usually at Lawai Beach by the Beach House Restaurant. The reef is 50 yards or so from shore and the water inside the reef is about 8 to 10 feet deep. We spend most of the time on this first snorkel hovering over the reef in just a few feet of water. There is a great variety of species here including, butterfly fishes, tangs and surgeon fishes, wrasses and puffers. We are in the water for up to 45 minutes before taking a break. After we are refreshed, those who are comfortable with a slightly more advanced snorkel, accompany us to the second area where we see the pacific green sea turtles. This area, in front of Prince Kuhio Park, is just a short walk away. It is a little deeper but the coral formations are more developed.

After a shower and some lunch we will head back. This is when you get to view the video which was being taken by the tour leader during the tour and when you realize the importance of looking good doing it.

The tour returns to the Poipu area around 12:00 and to Kilohana by 12:30.

North shore tour description:

People staying in the Poipu area meet us in Lihue at 7:45, we are picking up in Kapa'a around 8:15, Princeville around 8:45 and arriving at the snorkel spot by 9:15. The drive from Princeville to Haena is one of the most picturesque you will ever see.

Makua, or tunnels as it is known, is a gorgeous beach with Bali Hai as a backdrop. The inner reef is volcanic and has a large shallow area that leads out to a drop off. In places the depth changes from 3 feet to 60 feet, straight down. There are lava tubes and underwater caves which create habitat for a variety of marine life. We follow the natural contours of the reef exploring as we go. There are only a few places where you can head for shore without getting into very shallow water so we return to our entry point to exit.

Conditions, and your stamina permitting, we will tour the area inside the outer reef for our second snorkel.

After showers and lunch we’ll head back. Again, the video provides entertainment. We should be back in Princeville around 1:00, Kapa'a 1:30 and Lihue by 2:00.

This Napali coast tour is 5 to 5½ hour boat tour exploring Kauai 's rugged, Na Pali coast while learning the history and legends of the ancient civilizations that once inhabited the Garden Isle. You'll see spectacular sea cliffs, enchanting waterfalls and timeless lava tubes. Then, top it off with dinner and breathtaking sunset at sea. Passengers enjoy a large shaded cabin areas, cushioned seating and clean restrooms.

North Shore Kauai Snorkel Tour

Our check-in location is in Kilauea and the boat departs from Anini Beach.

Our captains and crew are very experienced and knowledgeable. They will provide you with an exciting and informational tour of the Na Pali Coast that is unsurpassed. Within 20 minutes of the start of the tour you begin the start of the Na Pali Coast. Conditions permitting, we will take you into the sea caves as well as snorkel at Nualolo Kai.

North Shore Charters operates 7 days a week, year round, conditions permitting. Seasonal whale watching tours are available. We do two tours a day, a morning and an afternoon tour. We take a maximum of 14 people per tour.

North Shore Charters operates a custom made 26 ft. rigid hull inflatable with twin suzuki four stroke engines. You will be provided with lunch, soft drinks and bottled water. Vegetarian options are available upon request. We also provide snorkel gear and dry bags. Group tours, as well as private charters, are available.

Morning charter – 7:15 a.m. check-in for a 7:45 a.m. departure.
Afternoon charter – 12:30 p.m. check-in for a 1:00 p.m. departure.

Due to the nature of the ride, we cannot accommodate children 6 yrs. and younger, pregnant women or anyone with back or neck injuries.
